Last year the Summer Competition was so much fun, we are planning to run another Summer Competition starting 19th October, running for 8 weeks. Plus we are introducing the 2 point Super Shot for even more fun!

If you play Winter Competition you will only need to pay $65 registration for the Summer 2022 competition. This fee covers umpire fees and your insurance. Umpires will be provided for the games. If you did not play Winter competition you will also have to pay the Netball Australia fee and the Netball NSW fee for at least 6 months to participate in this competition.

Time Slots: 5pm, 6pm  & 7pm – Juniors will start at 5pm and some ages at 6pm pending on the amount of teams registered in different age groups.

Umpires: RNA will be provide umpires, the payment is included in your fees.

Competition Rules – Junior/Senior/Mixed: All games will commence and finish by the siren.

  1. Games will be 48 minutes duration, (4 x 12 quarters).
  2. In the last 5 minutes of each quarter the 2 point Super Shot rule applies. 2 points will be recorded for any goal shot from within the marked 2 point area.
  3. Competition rules are as per Randwick Netball Association policy guidelines: proof of eligibility, registration of players, forfeits, injuries.
  4. Mixed teams: 3 males only on the court at the any one time and positioned one in each third only.

What To Wear, Bring

Wear what you like, shorts, bike pants and tops or you can wear club dresses. Try to have same “Team Colours”, eg same colour t-shirt.

You will need to provide

  • your own positional patches with Velcro tabs or overhead bibs.
  • your own netball
  • your own First Aid kit

 Registration

All players will need to register through PlayHQ (click on the relevant button above). At the time of registering all players will need to pay:

  • the RNA Summer Competition Fee of $65.00
  • Netball NSW & Netball Australia Fee (if you are not registered with a Winter club). *The Australian and NSW Fee is only payable once for a 12 month period.

You are registering direct with RNA, not through a club. You need to form your own team, so grab some friends and enter. You then need to tell us the name of your team, contact person and phone number. You also need to advise if your team is all female, all male or mixed. Player history and ages would be helpful for us when putting teams into grades.
