Junior and Senior State Titles Representative Teams 2020

Randwick Netball Association (RNA) is now accepting registrations to trial for 2020 Representative teams.  Please note registration to trial closes Monday, 30 September 2019.

Please be advised there is a non-refundable administration fee of $30.00 for all applications to trial, which will be payable at time of registration via the above MyNetball links.

RNA advises that there are associated costs for players selected in the 2020 Representative/Development teams.  Below are estimated costs, excluding compulsory Representative uniforms:

  • Junior State Titles (12yrs,13yrs & 14yrs) – $400
  • Junior Development (11yrs, 12yrs,13yrs and 14yrs) – $200
  • Senior State Titles (15yrs & 17yrs) – $250
  • Senior State Titles (Opens) – TBA
  • Metro League – $400

All successful Representative/Development players will be invoiced accordingly, and these are payable during the 2020 representative season.

RNA Representative/Development teams will also participate in fundraising events (eg BBQ duties) during the 2020 winter season.

Junior Representative teams are required to train a minimum of two nights per week; with the Team Coach, Assistant Coach and Manager in attendance.

Representative Teams (12yrs,13yrs,14yrs & 15yrs) may play a compulsory second game during the RNA Saturday winter competition.  Parents/Guardians are also advised teams will attend a minimum of four carnivals throughout the representative season. Development Teams will attend three carnivals. All Representative carnivals are played on Sundays at various locations in Sydney.

If selected in the Junior State Titles Representative team (12yr-14yrs), the competition will be held 4-6 July 2020 at Penrith District Netball Association. (Teams staying away will incur additional costs ie bus transport or accommodation).

The selected Senior State Titles Representative teams will compete in a three day of competition from 6-8 June 2020 which will be held at Liverpool City Netball Association.

  • Phase 1 Trials for Juniors 13s and 14s | Saturday, 19 October 2019
  • Phase 1 Trials for Juniors 12s | Sunday, 20 October 2019
  • Phase 2 Trials for Juniors 13s and 14s | Saturday, 26 October 2019
  • Phase 2 Trials for Juniors 12s | Sunday, 27 October 2019
 

11’s Development Program 

11 year Development Squad for 2020

A new program has been developed for the 2020 11 year Development Squad.

Our proposed new program is a 6 week training sessions.  Four of these training sessions will be in 2019 and the final two selections in February 2020.

3rd  November;  10th November; 17th November; 24th November;  9.00am to 10.30am. Date for 2020 TBC.

Players will be in groups of 10 and a minimum of 1 coach will be allocated to each group.

There will be a planned program for 1 hour and 30 minutes of game play.

Coaches will rank and give a short report on each players after each session.

The plan is to enhance the skills of all those involved before the final selections in February, date to be advised.

Players must attend all sessions and understand the commitment of being selected in our development squads, looking to the future of representing Randwick Netball Associations as a player.

When the squad is finalised participants will be expected to attend 3 carnivals on a Sunday, dates provided after selection and be provided with a uniform.  A small fee will be charged for Uniform.  Training will be one day a week, day to be sided when team selected.

All players and parents will be expected to abide and sign a code of conduct document after selection,
